Pop Of Color Renovation
This Kitchen is proof that you don't have to chose just one design style. As a lover of antiques, from all styles and time periods, this home owner wanted to mix the traditional style of the original window and door trim with her love of both mid-century and farmhouse style design. This was accomplished by layering classic farmhouse details (shaker cabinet, rustic floating shelves, and nickel gap wall paneling) with rich Mid-Century element (muted Jewel-tone cabinets, Gold/Brassy Fixtures and finishes, and this striking Geometric patterned tile). Mixing these styles gives this kitchen the beauty and richness of a much older space with the sleekness and modern amenity that come with a newly renovated kitchen.

Modern Farmhouse
It was very important to the homeowners to continue the seamless integration of the new and old spaces inside the house. We accomplished this by feathering in salvaged wood Flooring to match the home's original hardwoods and then refinishing the entire floor. The custom inset cabinets in the kitchen, down to the traditional door latches and drawer cup pulls, are a perfect mix of traditional style and modern design. This style blend makes both the homeowners' modern stainless appliances and unique antique decor look right at home. The butcher block and black granite countertops are a sleek take on primitive building materials, and bring contrast and depth to the design. The classic white subway tile, understated range hood, and vintage-inspired lighting and stools complete this "blast from the past" kitchen.

Elegant Craftsman
We pulled the inspiration for this kitchen from the craftsman-style details the homeowner had selected for the rest of the house and the clean, but rustic, feel of the large beams they chose for the ceiling in the kitchen/living room space. You can see this inspiration in the classic nine-panel door design and rich stained cabinets. We also chose a contrasting island and hood to lighten the space and give it a more contemporary feel. The oil-rubbed bronze hardware, stools, and faucets, as well as the beautiful quartzite counter tops that are used throughout the space, pull the whole design together.
